The turnaround in climate and environmental protection and the overcoming of social inequalities will be decided in the cities - including Berlin. Hertha BSC wants to be a pioneer, motivator and demonstration platform for sustainable issues. The club's renowned CSR department is working to manifest its sustainability strategy, knowing full well that many goals can be better achieved with partners.

Economically, environmentally and socially: Hertha BSC is commited to the vision of a sustainable future in many ways. Its actions are guided by the "Berliner Weg", the "Berlin Way", which was proclaimed under president Kay Bernstein. This not only characterised the club's sporting ambitions, but also its own commitment. Locally - to have an impact on the city and its districts, and to act as a beacon for other football clubs.

The game begins in the football cages of the city. This is where multiculturalism meets youth dreams, where legends grow and careers are born. At Hertha BSC you learn what it takes to succeed at the Olympiastadion and in the big wide world of football. The academy has always been one of the best that German football has to offer. With an ideal symbiosis of school and sport, inspired by the many exceptional talents who have found their way from the football pitch to the Bundesliga, the capital city club continues to develop talented youngsters - and since the 2023/24 season, girls and women as well.

Football is increasingly taking place online, and Hertha BSC has created the conditions to interact with the digital community on an equal footing in every situation. What's more, the club has fully integrated its eSport Academy and Hertha TV into its working environment in order to be able to offer its partners tailor-made content productions with athletes directly from the club's own resources.

Hertha BSC opened the Bundesliga's first eSports Academy in 2018. Then as now, the aim was to promote club life in the digital world, to make a responsible contribution to youth culture and to train talented players professionally in this field. The football academy serves as a role model and is based on the holistic concept of the three-pillar approach. In addition to match training, the training programme includes nutritional coaching, mental training, fitness sessions and the teaching of media and social media skills.
