SPORTFIVE Supports Ligue Nationale de Rugby in The Creation of 'Moments of Legend' Series

Paris, June 16, 2026 – The Ligue Nationale de Rugby (LNR) has entrusted SPORTFIVE with the creative development and production of 'Moments of Legend,' a video series celebrating the greatest moments in TOP 14 history, now available across the championship’s full digital ecosystem.

For more than two decades, the TOP 14 has been defined by unforgettable moments, legendary finals, iconic players, and decisive plays etched into collective memory. This rich heritage represents a powerful emotional asset. With Moments of Legend, the LNR brings it to life as a high-impact documentary series, reimagining the moments that have shaped the championship’s history.

The series features six episodes, each centred on a pivotal play or defining moment in TOP 14 history from the dominant Biarritz Olympique side of 2006 to Romain Ntamack’s moment of brilliance in the 2023 final, as well as Jonny Wilkinson’s standout years in an RC Toulon jersey.

With Moments of Legend, the Ligue Nationale de Rugby aims to celebrate the history and identity of the TOP 14 through premium content accessible to a broad audience. The series also forms part of a wider ambition to expand the championship’s reach both in France and internationally, leveraging its most iconic moments and figures to further strengthen its appeal.

SPORTFIVE supported the LNR throughout the entire project, from defining the editorial concept and narrative approach to overseeing overall production coordination. The teams managed the entire process, supervised all deliverables, and adapted the content into multiple formats to ensure consistent and effective distribution across all TOP 14 digital platforms.

The series is available across all LNR channels: the official TOP 14 website, the OTT platform, YouTube, and social media, with the ambition of also supplying the championship’s international broadcasters.
