From Boxing to the Next Big Stage
At 23, Sophie Alisch has achieved numerous milestones in boxing: multiple German championships, the youngest member of the German Olympic team, medals at European and World Championships, and signing her first professional contract with the renowned Team Sauerland at just 17. At 14, she made European boxing history by winning the national U19 elite championships. By 21, she was honored with the prestigious "Herqul Award" as Boxer of the Year—a recognition typically reserved for the sport's biggest names.
Alisch broke barriers as the first female boxer to grace the cover of Women's Health Magazine, became the third most-played athlete with her own character in the video game Undisputed for Xbox and PlayStation, and amassed over a million followers across her social media platforms, showcasing that she's more than just an athlete.
However, merely maintaining a career wasn't enough for her. She proactively terminated her lucrative contract with the US promotional giant Wasserman to focus on personal and professional growth aligned with her aspirations. "Despite the rigors of professional sports, my goal has always been to find happiness and fulfillment. I've loved boxing and always will, but cycling has long been a passion of mine. This isn't a spontaneous decision but the culmination of years of admiration and connection to the sport. Now is the right time to pursue this new challenge at the highest level," Alisch stated.

Boxing was my stage; now it's professional cycling. The challenge remains, and my goal is the same.

Partnering with Canyon Towards International Success
Embarking on a transition of this magnitude requires more than courage—it demands partners with strategic foresight and a deep understanding of peak performance. Canyon, one of Europe's leading bike manufacturers, recognized the potential in this extraordinary career move early on: unwavering determination, athletic prowess, and a resolute commitment to change. As her exclusive equipment partner, Canyon provides not only advanced professional gear but also the trust and expertise necessary to view this step not merely as a change but as the beginning of a purposeful and sustainable career.
Women's Cycling on the Rise – and Sophie Alisch is Involved
Women's cycling is experiencing rapid growth, and Sophie Alisch is poised to be a significant part of this evolution.
“I’ve learned that success doesn’t depend on circumstances, but on mindset. My attitude is key to continuously finding new solutions and pushing boundaries. I want to serve as a role model for others and give them the strength to believe that nothing is impossible. When someone says, ‘That’s not possible,’ I see it as a challenge to prove to the world that anything is possible,” says Sophie Alisch.
Sophie Alisch is pursuing this path with full commitment—and with the firm belief that boundaries exist only to be pushed.
