Optical Center Commits To Amateur Sports With Act For Sport

Paris, October 2, 2025 - Optical Center and act for sport announce the signing of a new partnership aimed at supporting community sports associations in France. This initiative, led by SPORTFIVE, an international sports marketing agency, harnesses Optical Center's commitment to amateur sports.

For the 2025-2026 season, Optical Center is supporting amateur handball by providing junior teams (U8 to U13) with match uniforms and their coaches with tracksuits. Already a partner of the French professional team, the brand is confirming its commitment to handball, from the highest level to local clubs. In concrete terms, this partnership represents:

  • 50 handball clubs supported near Optical Center stores

  • 1,200 players equipped with match uniforms

  • 50 volunteers rewarded with tracksuits

act for sport acts as an expert in amateur sports, ensuring the recruitment and selection of beneficiary associations, as well as field monitoring and acting as an interface between clubs and partners.

Clubs have until October 23 to submit their applications using the dedicated form at this address: https://www.voirplusgrand-handball.fr/.

After act for sport has reviewed their eligibility, the winners will be announced on November 4.

Through this partnership, Optical Center is affirming its commitment to supporting the development of amateur sports, while act for sport ensures that the aid directly benefits local associations.

Julie Barouch, Marketing and Communications Director at Optical Center, said: "We are already committed to supporting the French professional team, and we are proud to extend our support to amateur handball. Local clubs are a tremendous force for cohesion and transmission. Supporting them means contributing to the vitality of sport throughout France and promoting the values of performance and commitment that we share."

Guillaume Sarfati, CEO of act for sport, adds: "This partnership perfectly illustrates the power of collective action when a brand decides to make a concrete commitment to local communities. By equipping young players and their coaches, Optical Center is not only supporting clubs: the brand is investing in a unique space for education, social connection, and knowledge transfer. We are also very pleased to be able to carry out this operation alongside the French Handball Federation, for whom act for sport has become a real lever for activating and amplifying the commitment of its partners in the field.

Benjamin Deblicker, SVP Sales at SPORTFIVE, concludes: “SPORTFIVE is very proud to support Optical Center in this commitment to amateur sport. This partnership demonstrates how a brand can mobilize its expertise to generate a concrete impact on the ground, alongside act for sport and the clubs.”
